accepted credit cards; fewer establishments accept American Express.
Currency
Exchange:Italy's currency is the euro(€).
Banks cannot exchange large amounts of currency, usually limiting
transactions to €400 at a time. Visit

Comfortable
walking shoesare recommended for the daytime
tour. The
tour consist of a fair amount of walking up and down
steps, sloping pavements and over uneven surfaces of monuments, through
the town & countryside. Many places do not allow motor (larger
cars or buses) to the medieval streets or archeological sites that are
frequented by visitors, so walking is the only access in or out.
Ramps and elevators (lifts) are the exception rather than the rule, and
facilities for wheelchairs are limited.
